COACHING
Despite being a mental health professional myself, our work together won’t be psychotherapy. As such, there will be no assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of mental illness. However, the work we do together will make use of some similar fundamentals such as: deep listening and compassionate attention; emphasis on, and prioritization of, the alliance between us; strict confidentiality on my part; and trust in your own (perhaps untapped) strengths and wisdom.
We might be a particularly good fit if any of the following describe what you’re interested in:
· Somatic Experiencing®
· Psychedelic Integration*
· Men’s work
· Nature-based Experiences
*(Psychedelic integration is not psychedelic therapy. If psychedelics are already part of your journey, I can assist with integrating those experiences more seamlessly and safely into your daily life.)
Our sessions will begin in the format of video calls, with the option of adapting our venue as is called for by the circumstances of your unique situation and as our working relationship develops.
ABOUT
ME
I am a NYS LMSW and intermediate student of Somatic Experiencing®. I have lived in Zen centers for a total of 8 years, including formal residential training and regular meditation retreats (Rochester Zen Center & Madison Zen Center). I trained with Teaching Drum Outdoor School in Wisconsin within their wilderness-immersion Guardian Intensive Training. I have completed two 1-month Ayahuasca dietas at Nihue Rao spiritual center in Peru, in the authentic Shipibo tradition. In 2019, I completed The ManKind Project® New Warrior Training Adventure and have since been an active member in a primary integration group. All of these experiences will inform the work that we might do together.
PRICING
As this isn’t psychotherapy, I don’t accept insurance reimbursement. I charge $120 for 50-minute sessions.
For certain types of work, I may require or strongly suggest double (100-minute) sessions. For example, 50 minutes is too short for in-person sessions on my rural property, or deep somatic work. I charge $240 for 100-minute sessions.
